Amanda Bynes was arrested and hospitalized in New York City last night. Officers were called to her apartment building after reports of a disorderly person smoking marijuana in the lobby. When cops got there, she threw a bong out her window. She was arrested for reckless endangerment, and taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Bynes was also reportedly charged with pot possession and tampering with evidence.

Word is a deal is all but done for Jennifer Hudson to sit on the judges panel next season on “American Idol”… and Bruno Mars is also in talks. The source says "Idol" is looking to bring back familiar faces in order to win back their core audience.

A trip to space with Leonardo DiCaprio raised $1.5 million for charity at a glitzy fundraiser at the Cannes film festival on Thursday. At the 20th annual event organized by amfAR, DiCaprio emerged as the mystery guest to accompany the winner on a Virgin Galactic flight into space. The winner will spend three days in training with DiCaprio in Mexico before blast-off. The winning bidder, Vasily Klyukin, 37, a Russian living in Monaco, said he had always wanted to go into space.

Brad Pitt made a surprise appearance at a New Jersey sneak preview for his new movie World War Z. "Brad wanted to make sure that the screening was for the fans, the people that he made the film for"....

Lea Michele has just landed her first book deal, for a memoir titled Brunette Ambition. The book will be "part memoir, part how-to and part style-guide" and will chronicle Michele's life "from normal Bronx-born schoolgirl to Broadway child star to lead actress in one of the most popular shows on television," she said in a statement. Except…one of her co-stars kinda already wrote a similar book. Jenna Ushkowitz (she play Tina) just released “Choosing Glee”…an inspirational scrapbook memoir.

New Movies this weekend: Hangover 3 (opened yesterday), Fast and Furious 6 -Hobbs has Dom and Brian reassemble their crew in order to take down a mastermind who commands an organization of mercenary drivers across 12 countries. Payment? Full pardons for them all, and Epic - A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world - and ours.

Speaking of movies… The 90's pop group Hanson has launched their own beer called Mmmhops. It was served at The Hangover 3 premiere party.
